Accessibility

What this site does to stay usable for everyone, and where to write when it falls short.

Country Warrior is a reading site with tables and a few controls, and it is built to be usable by everyone: semantic headings in strict order, keyboard-reachable controls with visible focus, text that scales, and colour that never carries meaning alone — every part table encodes its point in symbols and words as well as colour.

The tables get particular attention, because they are where the site does its explaining. Each one has real row and column headers so a screen reader can announce a cell in context, and content that reads as words rather than as a picture — the parts tables spell out D, U, chop, run and sustain instead of shading squares, and a blank cell reads as the word "rest" to a screen reader rather than silence. Every table scrolls sideways inside its own box so the page itself never does.
